On the website, we have compiled a lot of information about topics artists should be aware of or interested in: Intellectual Property (that's your copyrights), contracts, and more. We don't expect you to know it all. We certainly don't. But you should at least know that there are rules and guidelines for nearly every aspect of your artistic business, be you a musician or a sculptor. TOPICS are the various areas of information we have researched. In addition, we have included titles of publications and links to other sites that might do very well for you. No one in our group has read every single one of these, so we cannot say for sure that they are excellent. However, someone recommended them to us, so we included them on the site. Look under FOR ARTISTS for these lists. There are more links under RESOURCES, but these are more general. Eventually, we plan to add information to the FOR ARTISTS that is specific to your area. This information won't be links and lists. It will be information for your artistic area. Those areas can only grow with your input and experience. For example, Alan Jacobson, bestselling author, gave us the information on finding an agent, located in the Writers' section under FOR ARTISTS.
If we tell you where we got the information, please
visit those sites and let them know how wonderful they are to share. |
