In order to help you advoCATE and eduCATE you on topics relevant to the
business side of your art, we have created CATE.
If you have read over the information provided in the topic areas and still
have questions, feel free to write us at Dear
CATE@asu.edu . This email is staffed by law student volunteers, who are
able to provide basic legal information. They cannot provide legal advice.
If your questions needs the attention of an attorney, then it will be
forwarded to an attorney for review. The attorney may or may not be able to
answer it in an email. If not, then you may come to one of our clinics. If
your situation requires more work than that, you may be advised to see an
attorney outside of the scope of our clinic. If you do so, please be aware
that we have no volunteer attorneys lined up to take on cases. If you see an
attorney outside our clinics, then it is your responsibility and does not
fall within the scope of what we can do.
Please be aware that Dear CATE operate on volunteer power. Please allow some
time for a response and do not use this email for emergency situations or to
request personal representation. We are unable to do either.
There may come times when our law student volunteers are busy with exams or
studying (they are in law school and we want them to graduate). Thus, CATE
may take a break every now and then.
